Custom Modular Wall Systems for Northeastern University - San Jose

The project aimed to design and engineer custom modular wall systems with integrated power solutions for diverse areas within the university, including reading rooms, open study areas, lounge spaces, collaboration pods, and focus study pods. The modular systems were designed to be prefabricated in the shop and installed on-site.

As a Production Furniture Designer, I translated client concept designs and sketches into detailed modular wall systems. I was responsible for creating 3D CAD models, comprehensive wall assemblies, and millwork production drawings. My work included generating parts lists and bills of materials essential for manufacturing and installation.

Developed precise modular designs that accommodated the specific functional needs and spatial configurations of the university's global campus.
Collaborated with a cross-functional team including concept designers, account managers, interior designers, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure compliance with all codes and regulations, maintain design integrity, and guarantee manufacturability.
Managed the detailed documentation process to ensure a smooth transition from design to production and installation.
